If an emergency is confirmed, or if we’re unable to reach a designated contact, our team quickly dispatches the appropriate authorities.
Below, you can see a step-by-step guide for what happens from the second a Live Video Monitoring alarm is received by a monitoring agent. Each security system has its own dispatch procedure. - Assess Alarm: Upon receiving an alarm, a Monitoring Center Agent assesses the situation via video feed.
- Identify & Respond Appropriately:
- If an individual is on the property, but not a threat: A Monitoring Center Agent will use audio deterrence and notify the customer. If the subject does not leave, the agent will contact the authorities.
- Threat/safety hazard: Emergency services are contacted.
- Suspicious activity: The activity will be documented, and the agent’s response will escalate if needed.
- Non-event: A Monitoring Center Agent will document the reason for the false alarm (technical issues, etc.).
- Customer Contact (if applicable):
- An agent will attempt to reach the customer and secondary contact.
- Attempts to reach the designated contacts through calls and voicemails will be documented.
- Completion: Dispatch is complete after reaching the customer, leaving a voicemail, or exhausting the call list once.
- Service Ticket: A Monitoring Center Agents will create a service ticket if the customer is unaware why the alarm sounded.
