Hot Dogs Raise Money for K-9’s < Return to Blog
Per Mar's Wausau office held its annual Dogs 4 Dogs fundraiser at the
Quality Foods IGA in Schofield, WI on Friday 5/11 and Saturday 5/12.
During the event, we cooked and sold hot dogs, hamburgers and brats.
This year’s event was a huge success as we were able to raise a total
of $1,000 dollars for the following charities:
1. $250.00 for the Marathon County K-9 Unit: They purchase training devices and food for their K-9 Units with this money.
2. $250.00 for the Kronenwetter K-9 Unit: They just lost their patrol dog last month to Blastomycosis and are in the process of purchasing another dog. This will alleviate a portion of the budget for their new dog which is budgeted at $1,000..
3. $250.00 for the New Life Pet Adoption Center: They are a nonprofit, no kill adoption center, very similar to the Humane Society.
4. $250.00 for the Lincoln County Humane Society: Also a nonprofit, no kill shelter.
Present from the Wausau Office were: Bryan Thacker, Ken Nerison, Lance Schreiber, Lisa Teske, Mark Beda, Marlene Seeley, Mike Skalecke & his wife Nancy, Rick Oelke, Rob Klingbile, Shelley Wegmueller and Sue Zilisch.
