Elevator Emergency CommunicationsAll elevators are required to have a means of two-way communication so that in the event of an emergency those trapped on an elevator can summon help. In most cases this is accomplished through the use of an auto-dial phone in the elevator. In some cases these phones connect to a 24-hour Security or Concierge desk. Many buildings do not have 24-hour operations on site, so other arrangements need to be made to meet this requirement. Per Mar's 24 hour Central Station provides this very economical service.
