Elevator Emergency Communications

All elevators are required to have a means of two-way communication so that in the event of an emergency those trapped on an elevator can summon help. In most cases this is accomplished through the use of an auto-dial phone in the elevator. In some cases these phones connect to a 24-hour Security or Concierge desk. Many buildings do not have 24-hour operations on site, so other arrangements need to be made to meet this requirement.

Per Mar's 24 hour Central Station provides this very economical service. When persons trapped in an elevator pick up the emergency phone, our dispatchers will answer at the other end, and dispatch the Authorities and Building Management.
